<div><div>[MUSIC PLAYING] When I was considering college, I imagined the college professor being really distant and they were busy or they had people that worked for them or work studies. But I found out that that wasn't really the case. One of the main things I like about the school is my relationship with professors. </div><div><br></div><div>They generally want you to succeed. And they want you to come to their office and talk to them if you're having trouble in their class. They'll give you opportunities for extra credit and advice on how to do better. </div><div><br></div><div>Let's say you have an English professor, you have a paper. You can literally go to that professor at any point in time they're in their office. And they will help you, whether it be every single day, every other day. </div><div><br></div><div>A lot of professors are like, what're you going to do next? Or where do you study? What school do you think you're going to transfer to? And a lot of them know those schools or they know people at those schools and so they'll say, all right, well if you're going here, this is what you need to know. </div><div><br></div><div>You never hear about when you're coming to college, professors wanting to help you out or checking on you or advising you of things. And that's one thing you get at SMC is the professors that actually reach out to you and they call you into their office and they say hey, what's up? And they want to see what's going on with you. </div><div><br></div><div>Not just because you're in their class. They'll want to see you do good just because you're a student here. And I believe that, that definitely has to be my favorite part about going here. </div></div>
